libgpiv-mpi3 software package provides library for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) - MPI version, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgpiv-mpi3
libgpiv-mpi3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgpiv-mpi3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgpiv-mpi3 *
You will get with libgpiv-mpi3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
